Veteran's Day Parade
& Fall Meeting
The 51st Annual Veterans Day Parade will be held on November 8, 2014 in downtown Milwaukee
WWPPA registers all marching units and then participates in the parade. This is a small community service project for a worthy cause.
Registration is from 0900 until 1100 on the Northeast corner of 4th & Kilbourn in front of Major Goolsby’s, most of us will need to be there by 0830.
All Academies Ball
Once a year Wisconsin Parents' Clubs from honor over 200 cadets from our nation's 5 service academies by hosting an All Academies Military Ball. This year's ball will be hosted by the Wisconsin West Point Parent's Associaton on Saturday, December 27th, at the Pfister Hotel in Milwaukee, WI. The March Back, & Acceptance Day
The March Back is, Tuesday, August 12! The new cadets, cadre, members of the staff and faculty, old grads and West Point Band will make their way down Washington Road arriving on the apron as early as 10:30 a.m.
For those arriving on Friday, Aug. 15 – Class of 2018 (upper class parents are welcome too!)
A "no host" reception for the Class of 2018 Parents will be held at the West Point Club - across from Jefferson Hall (library).
Parking will be available on Thayer Roof and in the lot near the Baseball Field.
Dress - Nice Casual
Who - Parents, family members and friends
Pay as you go beverage service and a limited menu will be available.
Time – 4 – 6 p.m.
If you are looking for something to do in the evening (Friday, Aug. 15), the Rockland Boulders have offered tickets to West Point Class of 2018 families.
Acceptance Day - Parade begins @ 10 a.m., SATURDAY, Aug. 16.
There are no other formal activities planned or scheduled for that day
All Academy Day @ EAA
September 20th, 2014
WWPPA volunteers, West Point Field Force Representatives, and West Point Cadets will host a West Point booth at EAA in Oshkosh to bring awareness and education to parents of high school students interested in attending West Point or any of the US Military Academies. We still need 2 more couples to help out. Please send our WWPPA President a message if you can volunteer.
Ring Weekend for Class of 2015
The Class of 2015 conducts Ring Weekend activities in order to distribute class rings during a professional ceremony that reflects on the storied history of the "Long Gray Line", and celebrate their class accomplishments with a formal banquet.
The ceremony at Trophy Point will begin at 5 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 22. Please be in place (bring your own chairs or blankets) on the hillside by 4:30 p.m. Please DO NOT SIT FORWARD of the black topped path at the base of the hill. The area between the band shell and the path is where the cadets will stand for the ceremony.
